If you have a special place you’d like to have your photos taken, even your home, we can meet there to make it all the more personal to you and your family. The option to have a full photo shoot can also give you some stunning individual, couple and sibling and children photos as well as whole family shots, be it in our Family Photography Bridgend Studio or On Location in South Wales.

Family Photography takes many forms with everyone facing the camera in formal or informal poses,  or capturing interactions within the family group in candid, less formal styles. And remember you can commission us to create that one, magical, individual shot, and we’ll work extra hard until we’ve captured it. Whatever your wishes, we will make sure your family photographs create lasting memories for you to cherish forever.

We are pleased to announce we have signed up to the MPA Master Photographers Association COVID-19 protocols and we have also received the COVID-19 training from BCBC (Bridgend County Borough Council) so that we can observe best practices for you, your families and ourselves when we meet you.

On Location/Outdoors Portraits

We love to meet you with your family at a location that’s special to you, or just somewhere in nature to capture beautiful images. One of our favourite places is Ogmore Castle, which provides many different option for backgrounds including the stone of the castle walls, the river, the green or reds of the trees, the beautiful wooden bridge or a combination of these. We also like to visit our local beaches in the summer including Southerndown with its cliffs, Ogmore or Porthcawl… If you’d rather something in a local park, we like to visit Bryngarw Country Park, Margam Park in Port Talbot or Roath Park in Cardiff. During April and May, we take lots of images in the lovely Bluebells in Ten Acre Wood, near Margam and Castle upon Alun, near St Brides.

On Location portraits give you much more flexibility for larger family groups or small children who feel more relaxed in the outdoors. They give a more natural feel to your images and can be a lot less formal with lovely backgrounds.

When you book an outdoor shoot, we recommend booking two dates so that if the weather isn’t nice on your first date, we have a backup booked in and ready. We are very flexible with outdoor bookings where the weather is concerned to make sure your images are the best for you. We will always book outdoor shoots for early morning or late afternoon to avoid the harsh midday sun and catch the beautiful light of morning or early evening.

Studio Portraits

If you want clean studio images of your family on a plain white or grey background, you are welcome to come in to our home Studio on Broadlands. Our Studio is ideal for smaller family groups or parent child portrait sessions. If you want Studio portraits with larger or extended families, we are able to use the local Scout Hall where there is much more space for your family to gather. We can then take images of the whole family together as well as smaller family groups, siblings, children etc. We are also happy to travel to a venue closer to you if you have use of a large indoor space we can use to set up a mobile studio.
