Hello, I’m Allan James Fisher AMPA, ARPS, FIOS, South Wales MPA Master Photographer of the Year 2019/2020, as well as being the current Welsh MPA Photographer of the Year 2021. I, along with my wife Sharron, love nothing more than taking beautiful images of you and your loved ones and creating cherished memories for you.
I’m also a Multi-Award Winning Lifestyle Family Portrait Photographer and have received many awards from various bodies including Prestige Awards South Wales Newborn Photographer of the Year 2020, SME News Business Elite Awards, Wales Most Outstanding Family Photographer 2021 and a Blue Ribbon Award from the Royal Photographic Society
I’m a PRO BANPAS Member – The Baby and Newborn Photography Association – and was professionally trained in Newborn and Studio Photography by some of the UK and World’s Foremost Trainers – Melanie East and Gary Hill.
I work alongside my lovely wife Sharron, in our Bridgend Photography Studio, who does all the admin for the business as well as helping out during shoots, posing adults, children and babies alike! We’re based in Bridgend, and love taking images in Newborn, Children, Family, First Birthdays including Cake Smash, Modelling Portfolios and Headshot Photography, both On Location and in our Home Studio, as well as working Commercially and undertaking Product Photography.
We have two teenage boys who have very busy social lives and we love to watch them playing football, swimming and kickboxing.
We also have a Swim School Business called Little Fishers Swim School, based in Bridgend and have around 500 children on our books at any one time, giving us a wealth of experience working with children in different settings.
My other passions are reading, chess, rugby and other forms of photography including monochrome, macro, wildlife, nightscapes, long exposure and landscapes, as well as listening to the music of Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band and many other bands. I also love instrumental music from the movies by artists such as Hans Zimmer, John Barry and John Williams. Sharron enjoys reading, doing jigsaws and Sodukus.
I have shared some of my Award Winning Images below for you to have a look at. One of my favourite images is Nash Point at the top of the page as it’s local to where we live and holds many memories. It is also an image which won Gold at the inaugural Master Photographers Association Landscape Category in February 2021.
